Celebrations broke out Thursday after Simone Biles claimed the gold medal for the individual women's all-around Olympic event. But some people watching at home could only focus on the lack of celebration from fellow Olympian Gabby Douglas.

Biles won gold and teammate Aly Raisman took the silver medal. The rest of Team USA jumped to its feet as the news was announced Thursday. Douglas didn't join them.

The Twitterverse took the 20-year-old to task for her lackluster reaction.

Going into the competition in Rio, Douglas was the defending all-around champion. She, Biles and Raisman claimed the top three slots Sunday during qualifiers for the event. However, a rule that allows only two women from each team to compete in the all-around final left Douglas shut out.

It's not the first time during the competition that Douglas has faced censure. After the gymnastics team won gold on Tuesday, Douglas was criticized after she failed to place her hand over her heart during the national anthem. She later apologized.
