Roommates and best friends Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are among the top players to watch at this year's NFL scouting combine according to NFL.com's Marcas Grant.

Since arriving on campus four years ago, the tandem have become the most iconic rushing duo in college football history. Midway through the Rose Bowl, the two surpassed former SMU running backs Eric Dickerson and Craig James for the most rushing yards between teammates in FBS history. Chubb and Michel finished with a combined 8,382 rushing yards.

Several mock drafts have the teammates going in the first three rounds, with many projecting Michel to be drafted before Chubb. However, Grant points out that scouts still have questions surrounding both backs.

For Michel, Grant writes that NFL teams want to see if his pass-catching abilities improve and if he has the agility to consistently make defenders miss. In Chubb’s case, NFL teams are still hesitant about his explosiveness and agility stemming from his major knee injury in 2015.
