During a press conference introducing former Atlanta Hawk Dwight Howard as a member of the Charlotte Hornets on Monday afternoon, Howard said one of his goals as a Hornet is to connect with Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

With both Newton and Howard being from Atlanta and going by variations of the nickname “Superman,” Howard told media he feels like he and Newton have the same attitude when they’re playing their respective sports.

"We love to win, but we want to have fun," Howard said, according to ESPN. "And we both hate losing. ... We both have that same fire and drive, where on the court, on the field we're going to give everything we got and in the community we're going to give even more. So I would love to be around him and us learning from each other."
