Ranking this week’s MLS games from best to worst.
Atlanta United at Columbus, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The two Eastern Conference powerhouses meet. The Five Stripes may be without Miguel Almiron. The Crew may be without Wil Trapp and Zack Steffen.
Dallas at Sporting KC, 9 p.m. Saturday. Woohoo! This should be a defensive gem between the West's two best teams, and I like defensive gems.
L.A. Galaxy at Portland, 11 p.m. Friday. The Timbers have drawn two consecutive games, including against the Galaxy two games ago.
Orlando City at Montreal, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. If the Lions can't win this one, it'll be six consecutive losses. Perhaps if they are 11 percent better?
D.C. United at Toronto, 8 p.m. Wednesday. Hey, Toronto should get three points. If the Lions lose in Canada, the red line gap will be so small as to no longer be worrisome.
Seattle at New York Red Bulls, 8 p.m. Wednesday. I think this score could get ugly, quickly.
Chicago at Colorado, 9 p.m. Wednesday. Colorado, as a place, is tough. Colorado, as a team, is not.
New England at San Jose, 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. It's a tough road trip, but three points should be attainable for the Revs.
New York Red Bulls at Philadelphia, 7 p.m. Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if the Union don't take all three points from this one because the Red Bulls do play on Wednesday.
Minnesota United at Houston, 8:30 p.m. Monday. Three points for the Dynamo!
