Even the New York Mets’ beloved mascot Mr. Met is frustrated with the way the Mets are playing.

During Wednesday night’s 7-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, Mr. Met was seen flashing the middle finger— or one of his middle fingers since he only has four — to fans.

On Thursday, the Mets apologized for the incident.

“We apologize for the inappropriate action of this employee," the Mets wrote on Twitter. "We do not condone this type of behavior. We are dealing with this matter internally."

A Mets official said more than one employee wears the Mr. Met costume and the employee wearing the costume on Wednesday night will not dress as Mr. Met again, according to The Associated Press.
