Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore is the second woman to be on the cover of Slam Magazine and the first woman on the cover since 1998, according to the magazine.

Former Atlanta Dream star Chamique Holdsclaw was on the 1998 cover of Slam Magazine, becoming the first woman to be on the cover.

Moore is a four-time WNBA champion, including the WNBA Finals MVP in 2013. She was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2011 and WNBA Most Valuable Player in 2014.

Moore also played high school basketball at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where she won three state titles. During her time at Collins Hill, Moore led the team to a 125-3 record.
