Matt Ryan records best deep passer rating of Pro Football Focus era

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had the best deep passer rating among all NFL quarterbacks last season.

On throws 20 or more yards downfield, the League’s reigning MVP earned a passer rating of 136.1— the highest deep passer rating of the Pro Football Focus era.

Ryan ended the regular season throwing for 4,944 yards, 38 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

For his performance last season, Ryan also landed at the No. 10 spot on the NFL's "Top 100 Players of 2017" list in June.
