Luiz Gohara has strong outing for the Gwinnett Braves

Gwinnett starter Luiz Gohara allowed just one run in six innings and Ronald Acuna had an RBI single as the Braves beat the Norfolk Tides 5-2 Wednesday night in Lawrenceville.

Gohara allowed a run in the first inning and settled down after that. He gave up five hits and walked one and struck out eight.

Acuna was 1-for-3 and is hitting .325.

Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson went 0-for-4, dropping his average to .217.

Matt Wisler made his first relief appearance for Gwinnett in the eighth inning and allowed a run.

The Braves are 53-56.
