According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving will miss the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs after having left knee surgery.

The Celtics decided Irving would go through a “minimally invasive” left knee surgery, and he was initially expected to miss three to six weeks.

The Celtics are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference.
