Kyle Korver has been ruled out of tonight’s game against the Mavericks as the Hawks guard is still dealing with a rib contusion.

Korver participated in portions of the team’s morning shootaround. However, coach Mike Budenholzer said afterward that Korver will not play. He remains listed as day-to-day. Korver also missed Wednesday’s game at the Rockets after suffering the injury Tuesday against the Magic.

“He’s pretty sore and not in a position to play,” Budenholzer said.

Korver’s streak of 88 consecutive games with a 3-pointer is intact. He remains just one shy of tying Dana Barros’ all-time record of 89.

The Hawks have a two-game road trip to Washingon and San Antonio Saturday and Monday. He is undetermined if Korver will travel.

Korver told the AJC on Wednesday that he doesn’t expect to miss significant time with the injury.

The Hawks did get some good news. Guard Shelvin Mack will play after missing a game with a left ankle sprain. Lou Williams will also play against the Mavericks in the first of back-to-back games. That gives the Hawks two of the three guards who were missing from Wednesday’s lopsided loss at the Rockets.
