Kennesaw State’s Chandler Burks named to FCS National Performer of the Year Award watch list

Kennesaw State quarterback Chandler Burks was one of 36 players named to the CFPA FCS National Performer of the Year Award watch list, it was announced Monday.

Burks, the Big South Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and a finalist for last year's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, was also one of 22 quarterbacks named to the award's watch list.
The Douglasville, Ga. native finished his junior season with the Owls with 1,307 passing yards, 1,103 rushing yards and 27 total touchdowns. Burks also ranked third among all Division I college football quarterbacks last season with 18 rushing touchdowns.

The 2018 CFPA FCS National Performer of the Year Trophy will be awarded at the conclusion of the football season on Jan. 9, 2019.
