Isner advances to Round of 16 at Wimbledon

Former Georgia Bulldogs tennis player John Isner advanced to the Round of 16 at Wimbledon on Friday.

Isner defeated Radu Albot from Moldova, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. The victory pushed Isner into his first Round of 16 at Wimbledon. Ranked No. 10 in the ATP World Tour rankings, Isner will face Stefanos Tsitsipas, ranked 35th, Monday in England.

Isner played at Georgia from 2004-07 and was a four-time All-American. Isner holds the UGA record for career singles (138), doubles (138), and combined (276) wins.

Earlier this week, Isner defeated Yannick Maden 6-2, 7-6, 7-5 on Monday and Ruben Bemelmans 6-1, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 7-5 on Wednesday.
