How the winning run scored: Indianapolis' Jared Goedert hit a one-run double off Corey Rasmus with two outs in the eighth for a two-run lead, giving the Indians enough to weather a late G-Braves rally. It was Gwinnett's third loss in this visit to Indianapolis' Victory Field.

At the plate: Hot-hitting Gwinnett right fielder Joey Terdoslavich delivered an RBI single in third inning, went 2 for 4 and raised his average to .330. Terdoslavich has hit in 12 of 15 games dating back to April 15. Gwinnett stranded runners on second and third in the ninth.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Omar Poveda was dominant entering the seventh, having allowed one run on two hits. But he lost a one-run lead on the bases-loaded walk by Brian Jerolman. Poveda allowed two runs on three hits, striking out six but walking five.

What's next for the G-Braves: Gwinnett tries to avoid a four-game sweep when LH Daniel Rodriguez (1-1, 5.79) faces Indianapolis RH Francisco Liriano (1-0, 1.80) in an 11:05 a.m. start. Rodriguez has not allowed an earned run in 14 1/3 innings.
