2018 season wrap-up: Murphy had 16 tackles for losses and seven sacks for a defense that ranked No. 7 in Class AAAAAAA (15.23 points per game). Hillgrove won a school-record 12 games and a region title and lost only to eventual champion Milton 20-19 in the state quarterfinals. Murphy is the top-rated player in Georgia and the No. 2 strongside defensive end nationally (No. 4 overall).
