High School Football: Sandy Creek & Grayson

We study high school football teams Sandy Creek and Grayson, both 4-0, through practice photos.

Sandy Creek's foes face talent on both sides of the line in DT James Hervey (left) and QB Johnson. Defensive threat Hervey, 6-2 / 265, has been described as "big, strong and difficult to move." On offense, Johnson completed 55 percent of passes as a junior (122 for 222) for 1,711 yards and 14 TDs.

Sandy Creek: Fayette's Fighting Patriots (7-0) face off against county foe Starr's Mill (1-6).

Johnson gets set to pass. AJC Recruiting describes his positives as "Arm strength and accuracy, good footwork."

Grayson's Ean Pemberton (24) was the leading rusher from 2007, when the Rams went 10-3 and lost in the third round of playoffs.
