The 1966 Carver football team was unranked going into the contest against a powerful Brown squad.

Both Brown High and Cheney Stadium are long gone but the memories are still there for the men who helped forge the modern era of Georgia high school football: (left to right) Ferrell Coppedge, Roy Stanley, Brown coach Joseph P. O'Malley, Lewis "Honey Heart" Lamar and Gary Lovett.
