Georgia's new high school football teams

Gwinnett's Mountain View (in black, shown vs. Duluth) is 2-0 with victories against first-year programs Archer (29-22) and Johns Creek (48-27).

Mountain View's coach is Tim Hardy, a former quarterback and assistant coach at Wheaton College.

Johns Creek (in maroon), the new school in north Fulton County, has beaten fellow upstart and south Fulton rival 1-5 Langston Hughes (pictured) twice and lost to two other first-year schools: Lambert (42-7) and Mountain View (47-27).

Johns Creek head coach Mike Cloy (front) leads the Gladiators to their new stadium, the Coliseum, for their inaugural regular season game Aug. 29, 2009. Cloy was 107-88-1 in 19 seasons at Centennial (1997-2004) and North Springs (1980-90). He started the Centennial program.

DeKalb County's Arabia Mountain (in green, vs. new Henry Co. school Locust Grove) is 1-3, its lone win coming against fellow first-year school Walnut Grove (1-3).
