Pebblebrook is a ranked football team for the first time since 2003, and Peach County and Callaway are out of the AJC’s top 10 for the first time since 2015.

Pebblebrook defeated previous No. 10 East Coweta 38-21 last week in a Class 7A game and improved to 6-0-1.

Ringgold also broke a rankings drought by checking in at No. 10 in Class 3A. Ringgold is 7-0 for the first time in its history.

Peach County, previously No. 6 in Class 3A, is out after losing to unranked Crisp County 27-14. Crisp ended Peach’s 35-game winning streak in region games.

Callaway, the previous No. 5 in Class 2A, lost to Haralson County 42-14. Callaway also lost to Haralson in 2020 but still won the state title. Haralson took Callaway’s place in the 2A rankings.
