1. (1) North Gwinnett (4-0)

Last week: Beat Meadowcreek 63-0. QB Hayden Sphire threw six touchdown passes in the first half, three to Caleb Scott, two to Nate Brown and one to Almonzo Brown. Meadowcreek lost for the 50th consecutive time. Next: Oct. 4 at Duluth (0-4)

2. (2) McEachern (4-0)

Last week: Beat Marietta 43-30. Ty Clemons passed for 212 and three touchdowns and rushed for 135 yards in less than three quarters. T.J. Rahming caught three passes, and all went for first-half touchdowns - covering 80, 54 and 20 yards. McEachern led 30-9 at halftime. Next: Friday vs. Kennesaw Mountain (1-2)

3. (3) Colquitt County (3-1)

Last week: Off. Next: Friday at Lowndes (3-1)

4. (4) Lovejoy (3-1)

Last week: Beat East Coweta 39-35. Quintarius Neely threw a 27-yard pass to Preston Williams with 33 seconds left for the winning touchdown. Lovejoy, which won 24-23 the previous week against Alpharetta, trailed 35-27 entering the fourth quarter. Next: Thursday vs. Druid Hills (2-1)

5. (7) Peachtree Ridge (4-0)

Last week: Beat Mill Creek 31-30. Jordan Ellis, who has committed to Virginia, rushed for 143 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Peachtree Ridge avoided overtime when Mill Creek missed an extra point with 1:39 left. Peachtree Ridge QB Chance Thrasher passed for 191 yards. Next: Friday vs. Habersham Central (0-4)

Last week: Beat Newton 41-14. Nelson Herring scored three first-half touchdowns and coach Rance Gillespie got his 100th coaching victory. Malcolm Joseph scored two touchdowns, one on a 70-yard run. Last week: Beat Lakeside of Atlanta 42-0. RB Dallas Rivers rushed for 138 yards and scored three touchdowns on eight carries. CB/KR Khalil Ladler returned a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown. Last week: Beat Tift County 28-21. Ryan Wedgeworth scored on two 1-yard runs, the second for the final margin after Tift County had scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to tie the game 21-21. QB Adam Choice rushed for 249 yards and was 6-of-8 passing for 98 yards. Next: Oct. 4 at Bainbridge (2-2)

Last week: Beat Lithia Springs 49-0. Josh Bettistea rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Russell Holimon had 97 yards on six carries and scored two touchdowns. Next: Friday at South Paulding (3-0)

Last week: Beat Douglas County 34-14. RB Jaquan Burns rushed for 193 yards, and Warner Robins forced seven turnovers. Next: Friday at Evans (2-1)

4. (4) Monroe Area (4-0)

Last week: Beat Lumpkin County 49-3. Monroe Area led 42-0 after one quarter after scoring on its first three offensive plays - a 51-yard run by Keon Kemp, a 38-yard run by Kwan Brooks and a 68-yard run by Brooks, who finished with 185 yards rushing on 11 carries. Last week: Beat Woodland of Stockbridge 34-7. Jaquez Parks was 9-of-12 passing for 107 yards and rushed for 90 yards. Griffin led 34-0 at halftime and held Woodland to 58 yards in total offense. Next: Friday at Stockbridge (4-0)

Last week: Beat Butler 53-0. Malique Jackson attempted only three passes, and all went for touchdowns. Wayne led 46-0 at halftime. Next: Friday at Richmond Academy (2-2)

7. (8) Mary Persons (4-0)

Last week: Beat Perry 21-6. Dee High rushed for 74 yards on 18 carries, and Akebren Ralls returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown. Ralls had touchdowns called back for penalties on a 91-yard punt return and 67-yard pass reception. Next: Friday at Howard (2-2)

8. (9) Statesboro (4-0)

Last week: Beat Burke County 21-7. Statesboro intercepted Burke County four times and led 21-0 in the fourth quarter before a late Burke touchdown. Statesboro RB Zach Grant rushed for 134 yards on 16 carries. Burke led in total yardage 353-348, according to the Statesboro Herald. Next: Friday at Butler (0-3)

9. (NR) Cedartown (4-0)

Last week: Beat Ridgeland 36-14. Nick Chubb rushed for 257 yards and scored three touchdowns. Cedartown is 4-0 for the first time since 2003 and ranked for the first time since 1993. Next: Friday at Southeast Whitfield (2-1)

10. (NR) Marist (2-2)

Last week: Beat Therrell 67-6. Therrell had minus-28 yards rushing. Marist QB Chase Martenson rushed for 100 yards on four carries. The score was 46-0 at halftime. Next: Oct. 4 vs. Columbia (2-2)

Last week: Beat Evans 17-3. Jefferson County survived four turnovers, held Evans to 122 yards of total offense and recorded two safeties in the fourth quarter. Cartabius Quarterman, averaging more than 100 yards rushing per game, was held to 66 yards on 14 carries. Next: Friday at Wesleyan (0-4)

Last week: Beat Athens Christian 56-0. Kawon Bryant rushed for 368 yards - exactly doubling his rushing yards for the season to 736 - and scored five touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Jackson County (1-3)

10. (NR) Woodward Academy (3-1)

Last week: Beat Westminster 30-15. QB Terry Googer rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns and completed 7 of 9 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Next: Friday at Blessed Trinity (2-2)

Last week: Beat St. Pius 28-7. Willie Candler was 8-of-9 passing for 81 yards and a touchdown, and Jay Harris rushed for 160 yards on 22 carries. Last week: Beat Dade County 38-0. QB Fields Chapman was 14-of-20 passing for 231 yards. DE Austin Byrd had four sacks for a total of 25 yards. Dade had 95 yards in total offense, according to the Rome Tribune. Next: Friday vs. Coosa (2-2)

7. (9) Benedictine (4-0)

Last week: Beat Vidalia 28-0. J.J. Gaines rushed for 125 yards on 25 carries. Benedictine held Tra Hardy, averaging 147 yards rushing per game, to 20 yards on eight carries, and held Vidalia to 101 yards as a team. Benedictine had one drive that lasted 20 plays and 13 minutes and covered 95 yards. Next: Friday at Atkinson County (1-3)

8. (8) Brooks County (3-1)

Last week: Beat Mitchell County 50-6. Brooks County won for the eighth consecutive time in the series. Next: Friday at Early County (2-2)

9. (10) Macon County (2-1)

Last week: Lost to Peach County 17-14. The Bulldogs failed to hold a 14-0 lead against an opponent that beat them 49-0 last season. Macon County freshman Khari Lane was 14-of-18 passing for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Crawford County (0-4)

10. (NR) Fitzgerald (2-1-1)

Last week: Beat Charlton County 29-15. Fitzgerald led 22-0 in the first half but didn't put things away until just over three minutes in the game with a final touchdown. Fitzgerald rushed for 291 yards. Charlton passed for 254.Next: Friday vs. Pelham (3-1)

Last week: Beat Warren County 39-14. Stanley Williams rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries. Defensive starters DL Cole Inman and LB Paul Kouassi were injured and did not return, according to the Walton Tribune. Next: Friday at Commerce (2-2)

Last week: Beat Glascock County 55-6. Prince Avenue got 355 of its 390 total yards in the first half and scored three of its touchdowns on recovered fumbles and blocked punts. Next: Friday vs. Athens Christian (2-2)

Last week: Beat Pelham 42-14. QB Alex Fudge scored two touchdowns and passed for another one (on Seminole's only pass of the game), and Seminole held Pelham to 146 yards of total offense. Next: Oct. 4 at Terrell County (2-2)

8. (9) Irwin County (3-0-1)

Last week: Beat Wilkinson County 41-14. Irwin had 409 yards rushing and put the game on a running clock after taking a 34-0 lead in the third quarter. Antwuane Merritt rushed for 100 yards on eight carries and did not play in the second half. Next: Oct. 4 at Telfair County (3-1)

9. (NR) Johnson County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Savannah Country Day 26-6. QB Michael Taylor rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and passed for 67 yards and a touchdown. Next: Friday at Savannah Christian (2-0-1)

10. (3) Lincoln County (1-2)

Last week: Lost to Ninety-Six, S.C. 39-35. Mike McIntire scored five touchdowns. His fifth put Lincoln County ahead 35-32 in the fourth quarter, but Lincoln County failed on a fourth-and-inches at the Nine-Six 29-yard line later in the game, and Ninety-Six drove from there for the winning touchdown in the final two minutes to win. Ninety-Six RB Rod Johnson, playing for the first time this season, rushed for 212 yards. Next: Friday vs. First Presbyterian (1-2)
