South Gwinnett 14, Brookwood 7: With its offense unable to get cranked up,  Class AAAAAAA No. 9 South Gwinnett turned to its defense to beat No. 8 Brookwood 14-7 to win the "Battle of Snellville" and reclaim the Mayor's Trophy. Read the complete story here.

Grayson 16, McEachern 13: Will VanPamelen kicked a 20-yard field goal on the final play of the game to lead Grayson to a 16-13 victory over host McEachern in a battle of two of the top teams in Class AAAAAAA Friday in Powder Springs. Read the complete story here.
