The Atlanta Hawks signed shooting guard John Jenkins, the team announced Monday.

Originally drafted 23rd overall by Atlanta in the 2012 NBA Draft, Jenkins appeared in 98 games over three seasons and averaged 5.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.

Jenkins, a former Vanderbilt guard, will wear No. 30 for the Hawks.

Jenkins, who missed much of the 2013-14 season with a back injury, was not re-signed after the 2014-15 season. Last season, Jenkins played four games with the Phoenix Suns after playing for the Suns and Mavericks in 2015-16 season. Terms of Jenkins’ agreement were not disclosed.

The Hawks also announced they acquired DeAndre Liggins in trade with the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday morning, but announced shortly before Jenkins' signing that Liggins was released.
