Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was not suspended, but was fined $42,000 by the NFL for instigating a fight with Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey during Sunday’s game.

The NFL calls for a $30,387 minimum fine for a player’s first fighting offense.

Green brought Ramsey to the ground and threw several punches before the fight was broken up and the two players were ejected.

Ramsey told reporters on Wednesday that before the fight, he told Green that he was soft and weak.

"I told him almost every play that he was weak, that he was soft. (That's) straight facts. He just couldn't handle the truth," Ramsey said, according to ESPN.

The Jaguars won Sunday’s game in Jacksonville, 23-7.
