Two golfers with ties to Georgia Tech will compete in this year’s Masters at Augusta National.

Larry Mize, the 1987 Masters champ, will tee off in Thursday’s first round at 8:42 a.m. This will be Mize’s 33rd Masters. He last made the cut in in 2014 when he finished 51st. Mize’s victory over Greg Norman in 1987 included one of the most memorable shots in the tournament’s history when he chipped in from 140 feet on No. 11 in the second playoff hole.

Matt Kuchar will tee off at 1:06 p.m. in his 10th Masters. He has three top-10 finishes and made the cut eight of nine times. He has two top-10 finishes this season, a tie for eighth at the Northern Trust Open and a tie for ninth at the World Golf Championships-Dell Match Play.
