Tiger and Phil were paired together at Augusta National.

It didn’t cause quite the stir for this was just a Tuesday practice round with Woods and Mickelson honing in on the start of the Masters. However, there was a still a considerable following as the two were joined by Fred Couples and Thomas Pieters.

The foursome played the back nine in the tune up. Woods and Mickelson hit drives on No. 13 nearly next to each other and there was quite a gathering of patrons to watch their approach shots on the par-5.

Woods’ comeback trail continues this week as he is plays his 21st Masters in search of his fifth green jacket. He hasn’t won an event since 2013 nor a major in 10 years. However, his good play since spinal fusion surgery has a renewed optimism that the once dominant golfer is back on track.

Mickelson is playing in his 26th Masters in search of his fourth green jacket.
