Start of the Masters delayed by weather

AUGUSTA - The start of the Masters was delayed Thursday morning following overnight and early morning thunderstorms. Gate opening and tee times will be delayed 30 minutes.

Ticketing gates will now open at 7:30 a.m. and the honorary starters ceremony will take place at 8:15 a.m. Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson are the honorary starters. It is the first time Watson, a two-time champion, has taken part in the ceremony.

The first tee time will be 8:30 a.m. Jose Maria Olazabal and J. J. Spaun are the first group.
