The Georgia football team weren’t the only Bulldogs to take it on the chin Saturday.
Kevin Kisner was bruised as well after the golfer shot a 6-over par 76 during the third round of the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. He fell from third to 20th place on the leaderboard with the troublesome day. He now stands at 3-over par for the tournament, 11 strokes off the lead, after starting the day four strokes behind Dustin Johnson.
Was the day worse than Georgia’s 45-14 loss at Mississippi? Perhaps not that bad.
Kisner shot a 41 on the front nine with four bogeys and one double bogey. He needed four shots to get down from the greenside bunker on No. 7 for the double. His even back nine consisted of one birdie and one bogey.
Kisner, a member of Georgia’s 2005 NCAA championship team, fell from 19th to 23rd in the FedEx Cup point standings.
