Almost three months after signing day, Georgia Tech officially added offensive lineman Bobby Mooney to its incoming freshman class Monday. The team made the announcement on social media.

Mooney, from Woodrow Wilson High in Long Beach, Calif., committed to Tech in November, but a procedural matter had delayed official acknowledgment from the school. Mooney is the son of the late Mike Mooney, who was a starting offensive tackle on the Yellow Jackets’ 1990 national championship team.

Mooney, 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds, was a three-star prospect at Woodrow Wilson. He is considered a prospect with considerable strength and potential, but who will need development.
