Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins was 56th among FBS head coaches in salary in 2020, according to a USA Today study. Collins’ salary of $2,883,115 took into account the athletic department’s furlough plan, which reduced his pay from the scheduled total of $3.2 million.

Collins’ salary for 2020 was 12th among the 12 ACC coaches whose salary information was reported, with Miami’s Manny Diaz and Boston College’s Jeff Hafley not included. Both coach at private schools.

Offensive line coach Brent Key, the highest-paid Tech assistant coach at $600,000, was 114th among FBS assistants and 14th among ACC assistant coaches.

Defensive coordinator Andrew Thacker ($450,000) was 212th among all assistants and tied for 31st among ACC coaches in total pay, while offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude ($400,000) was 257th overall and 41st in the ACC.

Strength coach Lewis Caralla’s salary of $233,495 was 45th out of 50 FBS peers whose salary information was collected and eighth in the ACC of eight.
