Georgia Tech announced updates to the visual representation of the Institute Friday, including the introduction of “Tech gold” as the official school color, a new word mark and simplification of the “GT” logo.
“Tech gold” will be Georgia Tech’s official school color along with white, to reflect the color scheme of the Ramblin’ Wreck that drives onto Bobby Dodd Stadium to open football games. Navy blue will continue to be used as the official secondary color.

Georgia Tech’s new wordmark, which will appear in the end zones of Bobby Dodd Stadium and on Georgia Tech uniforms, will display the name of the school with several unique factors like the “T” in “Tech” which will resemble the “T” on the Atlanta campus’s Tech Tower.

Going forward, Georgia Tech’s “GT” logo will be either completely gold or white with a gold, white or navy outline. The Institute’s logo featuring Yellow Jacket mascot Buzz will become a secondary logo that will be Tech Gold and blue, instead of black and yellow.
