Georgia Tech landed its second 2018 commit on Monday afternoon with Thomasville High School safety Charlie Thomas.

Thomas, a 3-star from Thomasville, Ga., announced his verbal commitment on Twitter with a picture of himself in a Georgia Tech jersey.

At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Thomas is ranked No. 37 on 247 Sports’ list of top safeties in the 2018 recruiting class and No. 51 by 247 Sports in top 2018 recruits in Georgia.

Thomas had offers from 18 total schools including Auburn, Cincinnati, Duke, Indiana, Ole Miss and Virginia, according to 247 Sports.

Thomas joined the Jackets 2018 recruiting class behind linebacker JaQuez Jackson who committed on Sunday night.

Bogart, Ga. lineman Harrison Jump also committed to Georgia Tech on Monday. Jump announced his commitment on Monday evening, becoming the third member of Tech’s 2018 class.

Rivals reported that Newnan, Ga. wide receiver P.J. Harris silently committed to Georgia Tech over the weekend, which would bring Tech’s 2018 recruiting class to four members. Harris, 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, doubles as a safety for Newnan High School.
