Georgia Tech catcher Joey Bart was named first-team All-America by Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball, the Institute announced Thursday.

This season with the Yellow Jackets, Bart led the ACC and the team with a .359 average and led the team in slugging percentage (.632), hits (79), home runs (16), runs scored (55) and on-base percentage (.471).

The junior from Buford, who is projected to be a top-10 MLB Draft pick in June,  was also named the ACC Player of the Year, ACC Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the all-ACC first team after his performance this season.
