THREE STORYLINES

Will the team play with energy? It certainly didn't in any area of the game in last week's loss. Miles didn't call out individual players after the game, but he did say that if players don't play with passion, they won't play. He even joked/threatened that he only needs to take 11 to Morgantown, W.Va., to play a game.

Will the running game improve? It couldn't get much worse after last week's 30-yard output, but there are still lots of numbers less than that. Plus, playing a BCS-conference foe probably doesn't provide the best opportunity, even if the Mountaineers gave up 316 rushing yards to Oklahoma last week.

Can the defense keep it close? If the Panthers tackle and miss assignments like they did last week in giving up more than 500 yards to Tennessee-Chattanooga, then no, they can't.

MATCHUP TO WATCH

Georgia State vs. self-doubt. Watch the sidelines early in the game. If something goes wrong early, will the players hang their heads? If the Panthers don't play with confidence Saturday, this game could get real ugly quickly.
