Georgia State coach suffers injury during N.C. State game

According to ESPN, Georgia State coach Shawn Elliott suffered a torn right biceps after a touchdown celebration against N.C. State.
The Panthers finished a 2:23 drive with an 8-yard touchdown run from running back Destin Coates, putting up Georgia State’s only points in its 41-7 loss to N.C. State.
ESPN reporter Olivia Harlan Dekker reported Elliott’s injury on her personal Twitter account Wednesday.
Also, Georgia State HC Shawn Elliott told us he tore his right bicep in an aggressive fist bump after their TD at NC State last week. will need surgery next week. He laughed telling us he isn't stoic on the sideline. Can't wait to see his passion Fri night on @espn vs Memphis

Elliott declined to comment Thursday to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding the injury.
The Panthers play at Memphis at 7 p.m. Friday. The game will be televised by ESPN.
