ATHENS – Aaron Cook, a senior at Gonzaga, is coming to Georgia as a graduate transfer. The 6-foot, 180-pound point guard from St. Louis made the announcement via social media Monday.

It will be a sixth collegiate season for Cook, who played a total of 401 minutes in 30 games for the Zags, who were NCAA runners-up this past season. He averaged 4.2 points a game and shot 50% from the field, 65.7% from the foul line and 35% from 3-point range this past season.

Cook averaged 15 points and 3.3 assists per game for Southern Illinois before breaking his hand his senior season. He averaged 10.4 and 9.8 points a game the previous two seasons for the Salukis.

Cook becomes the seventh player to transfer in to play for Georgia since this past season ended. Coach Tom Crean also has had nine players transfer off of his third Bulldogs’ team, which was 14-2 this past season.
