Georgia Tech’s Quaide Weimerskirch filled in nicely at B-back when starter KirVonte Benson asked to come out for a rest in the third quarter Saturday.

Leading Pittsburgh 21-17 at Bobby Dodd Stadium, Weimerskirch took his first two carries for a total of 12 yards, 11 on the first. He rumbled up the middle on his next opportunity for a 19-yard touchdown run -- a career-first for the sophomore to give Tech a 28-17 lead, its largest of the game.

Benson had 22 carries for 122 yards before Weimerskirch came in.
