After seeing his teammate come up an interception in Monday’s Sugar Bowl, Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson decided he needed one of his own. The only difference was, Wilson returned his for a touchdown.

On back-to-back pass attempts in the third quarter by Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant, the Alabama defense picked off the Tigers signal-caller.

The first came from defensive tackle Da’Ron Payne. The Crimson Tide offense turned  that into a touchdown. Wilson’s pick came with no offense required.

Cornerback Levi Wallace stayed hip-to-hip on an attempted slant pass and knocked it up into the air. Wilson ran under the flyball, hauled it in and returned it 18 yards for a pick-six. That put the Crimson Tide ahead 24-6 with 5:27 left in the third quarter.
