Former Georgia Tech head coach Chan Gailey wasn't on the field for the Kansas City Chiefs' morning practice after being suddenly fired as offensive coordinator.

The Chiefs will address his status today.

According to the Kansas City Star, Coach Todd Haley looked unhappy with the playcalling in the Chiefs' 14-10 home loss to Seattle on Saturday night. The Chiefs have mustered two offensive touchdowns in three preseason games.

In Gailey's six-year tenure at Tech, the Yellow Jackets went 44-32. He was fired in 2007 before Tech's bowl game, then joined the Chiefs as offensive coordinator.
