French gymnast suffers grisly fracture at Rio Olympics

The landing was far from perfect for French gymnast Samir Ait Said Saturday at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Said severely injured his left leg while vaulting during team preliminaries, as seen in graphic photos in this video from USA Today.
His leg bent awkwardly as he tried to land, the loud snap echoing through the arena. Said writhed on the ground in agony while medical officials tended to him.
He exited on a stretcher to a standing ovation.
