Here’s what the Eagles had to say after their 41-33 victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII:
Nick Foles, quarterback
On winning the Super Bowl: “I am speechless. All glory to God first and foremost. I wouldn’t be here without Him. To be a part of this organization, to be in this moment is something you dream about as a kid. To be right here with the confetti flying with the greatest group of men, I am about to be with my family at some point.”
(on what winning the Super Bowl means to the city of Philadelphia) “We have been wanting this for a long time, and I am just blessed to be a part of it. We have such a great group of guys, such a great city to play for and I am proud to be a Philadelphia Eagle.”
Brandon Graham, defensive end
On his strip-sack of Tom Brady: “I knew I had a one-on-one with the guard. I knew he liked to be aggressive, so I tried to act like I was pulling. I snatched it right off and Tom Brady’s arm was right there and I went for the ball.”
On the defensive mindset at the end of the game: “We just had to make sure we got off the field. For us, it was all about one stop we had to make. We went out here and made that one stop. We knew we were going against the best. How much sweeter is it that we beat the best today. I’m just glad I was able to be a part of it.”
On the Eagles’ offensive performance: “I will say that our offense carried us today. When we needed to make a stop, defense came through. No matter how ugly it was, we came out with the win. I’m thankful for the offense. Nick Foles was hot and he deserved everything that came to him.”
Corey Clement, running back
On his emotions after winning the Super Bowl: “It’s all a blessing. Going back to when the season started, and then to this moment, it is awesome. It’s my dream. Great teammates, my family is here, going back to New Jersey, small high school, I’ve achieved my dreams man.”
On a small, fast back being a problem for New England: “We just believed in our preparation. I have to thank the Philadelphia organization for giving me a shot as an undrafted rookie free agent, being put in such a big stage and believing in me. I can only thank them. Thank you.”
What does this mean for Philadelphia to have its first football championship: “It means a lot. Coach (Doug) Pederson is the best, this is the best group I’ve ever been a part of. His philosophy, his game plan and not only that, the players around us. We believed in the system and this is what we have to show for it, the confetti is falling. Super Bowl champions.”
Jay Ajayi, running back
On his emotions: “We’re the best team in the world, and it showed tonight. We’re Super Bowl champions.”
On the running backs performance: “(Running Backs Coach) Duce Staley’s room, he breeds competitiveness and breeds excellence. It showed tonight. The committee we were the best on the field today.”
On his personal journey this season: “There is nothing to describe this. God is the greatest.”
LeGarrette Blount, running back
On his feelings: “Such an amazing feeling. This is a resilient group of guys. It’s not about the other team on the other side, it’s about this team and this resilient group of guys. We’ve done everything the coaches have told us to do all season. Everything we dug deep. We knew this was going to be a grind. We knew that this wasn’t going to be easy. We knew this was a team we had to do everything perfect for. We did everything we that we had to do to get the W. I love these guys more than they know. I appreciate every single thing they’ve done for me.”
Zach Ertz, tight end
On people doubting Eagles: “We’ve been doubted since Day One. We owe it to God first and foremost. This team, no one picked us. We come out here and we’re World Champions. First time in Philadelphia history. The city earned this win. We wouldn’t be here without our fans in Philly. Man, what an experience.”
On his third down conversions: “I want to get the ball whenever the situation calls for it. We have a lot of talented guys on this football team. They’ve done an amazing job building this roster. When the situation calls for it, they trusted me. That’s all I can ask.”
On QB Nick Foles’ performance: “He’s amazing. The past three weeks, he’s been paying out of his mind. People panicked when Carson (Wentz) went down. Nick, we had all the confidence in the world in him. He’s a fantastic human, fantastic player.”
On being a Super Bowl champion: “Man, it’s the greatest feeling in the world. Top three for sure.”
Nelson Agholor, wide receiver
On having this big of a game in the Super Bowl: “I don’t worry about that. I just prepare well, trust my coaching and go out there and have fun.”
On if he felt Foles would keep throwing him the ball after the first pass of game: “I just trust Foles, he does what he needs to do. Our quarterbacks are coached very well, we just try to stay on pace and make plays.”
On what he thought of Foles’ TD reception: “We practice that a lot. We prepared very well for every situation.”
On the play of Foles: “Nick Foles is a great player and a great person. He’s always poised and he’s always ready to make plays.”
On how this feels: “Man, hard work pays off. Anybody that is going through anything, just work hard and trust.”
