The Falcons (3-0) face the Buffalo Bills (2-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Here’s what Falcons coach Dan Quinn had to say on Friday:
Opening statement: "We made a big push on the red zone. That's been an area of emphasis for us. I was pleased with the work today on both sides. We had a little bit of third down stuff wanted to clean up. I was impressed by the speed of the guys today. That's what we looking for as the preparation comes to a close. That kind of speed. That kind of effort."
On Bills running back LeSean McCoy: "It's really about owning your leverage. What makes some of his explosive plays take place, whether if it's a run or pass, he can catch it on one side and you think you have good leverage, you go to a side and then once he breaks that leverage there is a lot of space. Tackling for us, especially in space, is going to be important for us. He may start one way and then as the play shifts back, the backside defender has to do a really good job keeping his leverage."
On Bills tight end Charles Clay: "The other guy that's a real factor and we've got a lot of respect for him, is the tight end. He can change direction. He can break you off in man to man. Of course, the quarterback who can get out of the pocket and a big (offensive) line. The defense, they are excited about the challenge."
On the Falcons offense: "Offensively, all of the different packages we feel like we have a good group and a plan of attack. We know how well they played in the secondary. We like their front a bunch. Offensively, we are looking forward to the challenge as well."
On Damontae Kazee starting: "It's his time. He finished the game last week. It will be his (opportunity) to get more reps and get going. You know how excited we are for him. He's done an excellent job."
On Ricardo Allen: "I don't think he could have had a better mentor and teammate than Rico to show him an example of the plays. They spent a good bit of time together this week."
On Keanu Neal calling the defense: "Keanu will take the lead voice," Quinn said. "Keke is ready for that role as well. The communication piece is going to be key and Keanu is definitely ready for that."
