UGA: Season opener vs. Buffalo

Freshman running back was impressive in his first game as a Bulldog.

Gurley scored UGA's first touchdown on a 10-yard run and added another TD on a 100-yard kickoff return.

Buffalo had some success against the UGA defense, but not on this particular play as Amarlo Herrera brings down Bulls quarterback Alex Zordich.

WR Tavarres King couldn't hold onto this first quarter pass in the endzone. Buffalo DB Isaac Baugh defends on the play.

WR Rantavious Wooten tries to get around Bulls defensive back Cortney Lester.

QB Aaron Murray passed for 258 yards and three touchdowns in the 45-23 victory.

Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham keeps an eye on the action on this third-down play.

Grantham might not have been too happy after the game with Buffalo gaining nearly 350 yards of total offense.

Keith Marshall drops a pass inside the Buffalo 5 yard line. The freshman RB had 46 yards on 10 carries in his UGA debut.

Starting right tackle went down with what appeared to be left ankle injury. Severity of injury not immediately known.

UGA coach is now 10-2 in season-opening games. The lone losses came in 2009 at Oklahoma State and last season against Boise State at the Georgia Dome.
