Trufant out for rest of season with broken forearm

Falcons left cornerback Desmond Trufant, who had a career-high four interceptions this season, suffered a broken forearm in the 40-20 win over the Panthers on Sunday. He will  miss the rest of the season.

Trufant suffered the injury with 2:12 left in the second quarter and he did not return. He is set to have surgery this week and will be placed on injured reserve.

Also, wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered an abdominal injury and guard Wes Schweitzer a shoulder injury against the Panthers. Ridley and Schweitzer left in the third quarter and did not return.
