The new home of the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, has been in the making far longer than when the team first broke ground on a site just south of the Georgia Dome in 2014.

The opening of the new stadium was delayed several times due to steel structural issues, according to team officials.

The facility officially opened Aug. 26, 2017.
