Birthday greetings to the reigning NFL MVP.
Quarterback Matt Ryan, the first NFL most valuable player in Falcons franchise history, celebrates his 32nd birthday today. The 2016 NFL MVP is preparing for his 10th season with the Falcons and will lead the team into their new home Sept. 17 against the Green Bay Packers.
Here are three things to know as No. 2 turns 32 (Get it? 3 things, No. 2, 32):
> He's trying his best to move on from the Super Bowl loss to Patriots.
> Ryan is coming off an historic 2016 season in which his passer rating was the fifth-highest in NFL history.
> Ryan's first regular-season game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium will come against the same team the Falcons defeated in the final game of the Georgia Dome -- the Green Bay Packers.
