Defensive end Ray Edwards, who has only two sacks this season for 16 yards in losses, and John Abraham, who has one sack over the past eight games, are on the hot seat.
Falcons coach Mike Smith preached this week about sacks being overrated. He stressed that the Falcons need to move the quarterback off his mark.
However, the last time the Falcons faced Tennessee quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, a big sack by Jamaal Anderson turned the game around.
On Dec. 19, Anderson broke through to pummel Hasselbeck, then with the Seahawks. Defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux recovered for a touchdown that made the score 24-10, and the 34-18 rout was in session.
Anderson was waived in the offseason as part of a salary-clearing move to help sign Edwards.
The Falcons are tied for 27th in sacks in the NFL, with the Bills and Colts, each with 15. Only the Seahawks (14), Buccaneers (13) and Chiefs (9) have dropped the quarterback fewer times.
The Falcons have not registered a sack in four of their nine games.
The Titans have allowed 13 sacks and are getting sacked on 4.14 percent of their pass attempts, which ranks third in the league.
Edwards has only five quarterback hits through nine games. He has 17 tackles, four for losses, and five assists.
