Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who passed for 311 yards in the 29-3 win Sunday over the Panthers, moved into the top 10 on the NFL's all-time passing yards list.

Ryan had 49,072 yards going into the game. He moved into 10th place and ahead of Warren Moon, who had 49,325 passing yards.

Ryan now has 49,383 passing yards over his 12 NFL seasons.

“It’s pretty special, for sure,” Ryan said. “I have been fortunate to play for a long time and to have some success. To be mentioned with all those other guys that are up there, is special. I have always dreamed of being in the spot as a kid.”

John Elway is next ahead of Ryan with 51,475 yards.

“To be (in the top 10) is good, there is a lot of work to do, but when you kind of hit milestones like that, it’s always more fun when you do it in a win so that you can celebrate with the guys,” Ryan said.
