Wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who suffered a hamstring injury July 25 during the second padded practice, had a successful return to practice on Sunday.

“It’s been about two weeks since he’s been out,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said on Monday. “We did a good job to make sure that he was fully himself, with his strength, his quickness and his explosion. We’ll ramp him up again (on Monday). But he looked good on the first day. It was great to have his energy back out there, too.”

Left guard James Carpenter (hip flexor), linebacker Foye Oluokun (groin), cornerback Tavez Calhoun (undisclosed), linebacker Deion Jones (foot) and wide receiver Julio Jones (foot) were off to the side with the trainers.

However, Julio Jones was running routes during the open portion of the practice.
