The Atlanta Falcons' new stadium won't open until the 2017 season and the team promises the state-of-the-art facility will be like nothing fans have experienced before.

Work begins in earnest at the stadium site in April 2014 when land is cleared and new roadways are formed to make way for the Falcons' new home.

May 2014 saw a continued effort to clear ground and create the new stadium's footprint.

The stadium's footprint takes shape in June 2014 as the ground is shaped and the stadium begins to form within the construction site.

In July 2014, concrete is poured into the footprint of the new stadium.

In August 2014, steel columns begin to rise from the site foundation. The southwest vantage point shows the first signs of the new stadium "going vertical."

The hub of activity increased in September 2014 as the stadium’s first elevated floor slab was been framed and poured.

The two main entry plazas to the new Falcons' stadium begin to take shape on the north and south ends as construction progresses into November 2014.
