NFL teams have begun signing free agents after 4-and-a-half month lockout.

Former Georgia defensive end Charles Johnson re-signed with the Carolina Panthers, reportedly for six years and $72 million.

The New England Patriots obtained wide receiver Chad Ochocinco from the Bengals. Ochocinco has agreed to a new three-year deal with New England.

The Miami Dolphins acquired New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush after negotiating a new two-year contract for nearly $10 million.

Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. Philadelphia received cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2012 second-round draft pick from Arizona.

New England Patriots acquire defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth from the Washington Redskins in exchange for a 2013 fifth-round pick.

Longtime Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck agreed to multi-year deal with the Tennessee Titans.

N.Y. Jets re-signed wide receiver Santonio Holmes to a five-deal that averages slightly less than $10 million per season with $24 million guarantee

The Tennessee Titans released Vince Young, cutting ties with the quarterback they made the No. 3 pick overall in the 2006 draft.

Former South Carolina standout and Viking Sidney Rice signed with the Seattle Seahawks for five years and $41 million.

Dallas running back Marion Barber was among the players cut for the team to go below the cap. Cutting Barber to saved the Cowboys $4.75 million.

Retiring? The Cincinnati Bengals refused Carson Palmer's demand for a trade and considers him retired with four years left on a deal thought to be roughly worth $40 million.

Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was reportedly considering holding out for a renegotiated contract.

The Redskins have re-signed Santana Moss to a three-year, $15 million deal with a $6 million signing bonus.

The San Diego Chargers agreed to terms with ex-San Francisco 49ers linebacker Takeo Spikes; the deal is for three years.

Safety Eric Weddle (32) remained with the San Diego Chargers, who agreed to make him the highest-paid safety in the NFL, with a five-year deal worth $40 million ($19 million guaranteed and a $13 million signing bonus.

The Cleveland Browns cut quarterback Jake Delhomme.
