With the 17th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons selected defensive back Keanu Neal of Florida. The former Gator has some familiarity with head coach Dan Quinn. Here are other things you should know about the new Falcon:

Keanu Neal was partially recruited by Falcons coach Dan Quinn before he left Florida to return to Seattle as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator. Neal played special teams for the Gators as a freshmen in 2013.

Keanu Neal, arriving with family to the 2016 NFL Draft in Chicago, is named after actor Keanu Reeves. An older sibling liked the name and his mother used it.

Keanu Neal was rated as a late first-round or a second-round pick by analysts before the 2016 NFL Draft. The Falcons are in need of a strong safety after releasing William Moore.

Keanu Neal, a 6-foot, 211-pound junior strong safety, was the Florida Gators’ third-leading tackler with 96 tackles and he had an interception.

Keanu Neal was the second Gator drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Vernon Hargreaves III was selected at No. 11, by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
